A fun little walk
I just got back from walking to the Westminster area with Keely and Kristen. We had so much fun! We stopped at Buckingham Palace and Big Ben and Parliament and just took a ton of pictures. It was quite a trek getting there let me tell you. I am so glad that I wore my tennis because I would have been complaining after a little while! :) I just absolutely love it here. I am still in awe of all of the buildings and places that I get to see whenever I want. That is so amazing to me that I can just walk over to see Big Ben one night. Wow! I am going to miss it so much here!
So after I blogged on Monday night, me and Keely went to Hyde Park and walked/jogged/ran. It was so much fun. I did realize that I was way out of shape though. I definately need to work on that! I just love the park. It is so beautiful. Everyone goes there at night and just sits in the grass or walks through the park. There are a lot of trees and flowers and monuments to see. It never gets old! Tuesday I went to morning class and then grabbed Starbucks with Kristen and then went to afternoon class at the Tate Britain. Let's just say that me and my classmates had a little but of a problem getting there. :) We were over 30 mins late because we took the wrong tube! WOOPS~! THe museum was cool but it was not my favorite. I really love the Impressionist art and there wasn't any there. It was actually kind of boring listening about the same thing for 2 hours! That night I went to Hyde Park with Kristen and walked around. We went and played in tthe Princess Diana fountain. THe water was freezing which felt so good because it has been massive hot here for a couple of weeks! The rest of the night I chilled in my room and talked with friends. Oh! I also booked my trip to Greece!! I am leaving Wednesday the 8th and not coming back till Sunday the 11th!! It's just me and three of my besties here. I am so excited and so ready to lay out on a beach! Let me tell you, London is not very kind to the pale people. I think it just makes us paler!! Today we went to the National Gallery for class and listened to our teacher talk for 2 and a half hours. I think I learned how to sleep with my eyes open! At least I got to see some Impressionism after class was over-Renoir, Monet, Manet, CAlleboite, and Degas! I just loved it! After the museum, me and Kristen met with Krystal and Erin and went to eat at the Texas Embassy! That's my third time. O boy do I love Mexican food! Tonight is going to be a catch up on sleep night. I always seem to go to bed so late, but not tonight!

Wow has it been a long time soince I blogged..
Thursday was a not so great day. I had our final paper due on Friday and I worked ALL day long on it except during class. For class we went to the Museum of London: Docklands. It was so cool! I just loved seeing all of the stuff and I really loved being over in that area. THe rest of the night was spent procrastinating and finally finishing my paper around 4 AM when the sun was up and the birds were chirping. Let me just tell you, that is not a good feeling. Friday was finals and turned in my paper. I hope I did good. Friday afternoon I went to Thorpe Park with Courtney and Kate. We had such a fun time; I miss roller costers so so bad!!! Friday night me and Courtney went to Pizza Hut and just hung out and then watched Shawn of the Dead with Hans, Krystal, and Kristen. Saturday I woke up early to say gooodbye to Courtney, which was so so sad. I miss her and want her to come back. Later I went to the Giraffe with Hans, Krystal, Kristen, and Max. When we got back we hung out outside until Hans and Max had to leave. This was even sadder. I dont like to say goodbye to people. It was so so sad. When I got back upstairs at 11:30 I went to bed and slept until 4, which was wonderful! I got up and went to dinner with Kristen and then hung out in her room with her until Krystal woke up around 11. I spent the rest of the night hanging out and watching some Alias, which really makes me happy. I know it sounds like a lot of laying around in the room, but I was so tired that I needed some catch up time. Sunday was the last day of catch up time and I slept until 1. THe rest of the afternoon I hung out and watched some more Alias..:) That night, me and Krystal and Kristen went to Planet Hollywood. We had such a fun time. We laughed all night long at different songs we kept requesting from the DJ and the waiter that kept watching us. After that we went to go Suv shopping. (Dont worry mom, I didnt spend anymore money!) So now we are back to today! This morning I started my new class, British Art and Architecture. I am going to absolutely love this class! We only spend like 3 days in class out of like 15. We get to go to so many museums! I am so so excited!!!! This afternoon I went to get lunch with Dawson and then came back to do laundry . I also had to take my box to ship home to the post office. O boy was that ever an adventure!!! It was such a hassle. I first of all had to carry this 30 pound box to the post office, then stand in line to be told I had to go buy tape, then I had to sit in the middle of the floor and tape of this box and put 27 stamps on it, then spent way too much money to send something just to my house! Now I am hanging out in my room planning out what to do for the next three weeks! I cant believe its almost finished. I am going to miss it here so so so much!

W.I.C.K.E.D.
Wicked is by far the greatest play ever. I had heard such great things about it, but it was even better than I thought. I did not even fall asleep once! (Which is saying a whole lot.) I bought way way too much at the Suv store but thats ok. I definately think it was worth it! The "Defying Gravity" part was by far my favorite! It is so amazing! I think that I'm going to watch it on YOUTUBE again right now. Actually I should prob start working on my paper thats due Friday since I was supposed to work on it today but ended up just laying around. I am definately going to be dreaming about Wicked tonight!

time to do some school :(
Well today was supposed to be Stonehenge day, but that got postponed to Wednesday so now it has become school day. I am going to be spending the day writing my history essay and then hopefully getting it finished for Friday. If it happens, then I will have beaten my procrastinating record! Here's hoping! Also, I found some Ranch Dressing at a store so tonight it Salad with Ranch in the Cafeteria. Woot Woot! O the simple things in life. :)

Brighton
Today I got to go to the Southern beack town of Brighton. It was so beautiful. It has been such a long time since I've been to the beach and I really enjoyed it! The day was kind of a bummer because we hit a ton of traffic on the way there and on the way home because of a bike race going on from London to Brighton. I think I could have gotten there quicker on a bike! :) O well, once we got there I got to see the Brighton Pavillion that George IV built. I also had a big lunch at HA!HA! and then walked along the pier and got some ice cream. It was so cool being at the pier because thats where Wimbledon was filmed! After our long trip home, I got some Chinese food and then got ready for bed and am now on my computer! Time to catch some Z's for my busy week ahead! Good night!

An action packed day in Stratford
Stratford Upon Avon is totally amazing! We had such a good time today. It started out super exciting when our coach bus clipped another car and spun it around. I was asleep when we hit and I got thrown into the seat in front of me. It was kind of painful but I still laughed about it. Before we arrived in Stratford, we stopped at Shakespeare's mother's house. It was so fun. It has been converted into a petting farm too. I got to see pigs, goats, cows, and owls. Of course, I also got a lot of fun suvs! Later we made it into Stratford and toured Shakespeare's childhood house and where he was buried. It was such a beautiful city and I had so much fun hanging out with Kristen, Keely, Chelsea, Jess, and the Julias. The ride home was not as eventful and I got to sleep most of the way. When we got home we went to Pizza Hut for dinner and now Im back in my room getting ready to hit the sack since we have to be up in the morning for our trip to Brighton!

Week 4
Tuesday was spent in my room in my bed most of the day. I needed a recoup day and I spent a ton of time watching Alias, an old TV show on youtube. I did go to WHole Foods for lunch and got a great taco salad that was kind of like Chipoltle. Man do I miss Mexican Food. Thursday we went on a field trip with class to walk around the central part of London around Westminster and Trafalgar Square. Afterwards, me, Chelsea, Krytal, Hans, and Erin all went to Soho and ate at a really delicous Chinese place. The people there were very rude and did not like Americans but we still had a great time eating some great food! Later that night we went to the Royal Albert Hall and watched Swan Lake. It was really pretty and very amazing to be in such an incredible place that so many famous people have been in. Afterwards we went over to McD's to get a McFlurry and that was so delicous. Today I went to the Museum of London and looked at the modern London section. It was really cool to see how people lived in the past. I am going to miss being in a city with so much history. I just truly love it here. After class we went to see Billy Elliot. It was ok, nothing compared to Les Miserables but still amazing. Tonight we are going to walk around kensington and take some pictures. I am going to miss the beautiful city so much!

Bonjour Baby!!!
This weekend was such an amazing and once in a lifetime experience. I still can't believe that I was in Paris. It was so different than I ever thought it would be. I am not going to lie, it was not as great as everyone makes it out to be, but again that could be becasue I am quite bias to my new home. London is just way too hard to compete with. We left Firday around 3 and took a bus to the Eurostar, which took us right under the chunnel to Paris. Right away I was a little intimidated by French. I forgot how difficult it can be to visit somewhere that doesn't speak English. Lucily, people were overall very nice and spoke at least enough English to communicate. After arriving in Paris about 10 at night we pretty muich just grabbed some dinner and then hung out in the room and watched a movie. Can I just say that I dont really recommend Cold Mountain to anyone unless you want to be depressed for hours. Its so sad! :(
Saturday was so much fun! We went on a bus tour around Paris and saw all of the major sights. We then went to the Notre Dame and the Louvre. Both were so amzing. I personally really liked the Notre Dame way better. I love the architecture of old churches. The Louvre was really cool but so overwhelming. I couldnt even imagine tryingt o make it through the whole thing. We saw the MOna Lisa, Venus, and that other important statue with wings. I loved the statues. They were so beautiful! The rest of the day was spent walking around Paris and exploring. The Eifeel Tower really is so beautiful. That night we went on a boat tour down the Thames and then went to the top of the tower. It was so incredible! I was just in shock that I was actually in the Eiffel Tower. I will never forget it. Sunday we slept in and then just did some souv shopping and explored a little more. By far my favorite part was the Tiki Tiki men under the tower. It is so funny that they all scatter when the police come! We laughed so hard! I have to say, I am real good at bartering. I got some great deals. I have to say that by the time that we left I was ready to go back home to London. Paris is amazing and I thinkeveryone should see it at least once, but it has nothing on London!

Thursday
Thursday was a chill day. We went to the Museum of London for class and it was really cool. I almost fell asleep becasue I was so tired, but I realy loved seeing all of the historic things they had collected. A lot of Roman artifacts and a lot of artifacts collected at the Thames. The history and creation of London is so interesting. I love learning about something that I have never heard about before. It is so much different than school and hearing about the same things over and over again. The rest of the day was spent chilling in my room and watching Alias reruns! O boy do I love Alias!!!!!!!!

No School!!!
I love days with no school! Today was filled with napping and shopping. I got the cutest dress and skirt from H & M! I am never going into that store again. I have been in there like 7 times and spent way way too much money! Tonight we went to see Oliver. It was absolutely incredible! I love plays and I want to go to as any as I can! Well its off to bed for me!
Tuesday, June 8, 2010
Today was a lot of fun. I had my first real class today and loved listening to the history of London. It is such an incredible city and I love hearing about all the things that it has survived and conquered. The rest of the day was filled with napping and going to the Giraffe for lunch. Tonight we went to a local hang out with a bunch of kids from school and had a really good time. Now its to bed.

the second first day of school
Today was the first day of The History of London and I absolutely loved it!! Our teacher is so funny and we are going to be spending most of our time in London on field trips and such so I am so excited. The rest of the day was spent hanging out around Atlantic House and planning for the rest of our time here. Tonight is the sign up for these session's activities and then later tonight we are going to Imperial for a welcoming party for the newbies. I hope to get to bed relatively early tonight!

The Globe, The Tower of London, Harrods, and so much more
Once again this has been a crazy week and it has been hard to find time to update my blog. I know that there are so many people that just sit around and wait for whatever I am going to say next. :) Well to catch everyone up, Wednesday was a really crazy day. At school we went to Harrods on a field trip and our teacher bought us shakes at the chocolate bar. He is the sweetest thing ever and I am going to miss him so much as my teacher! After that, Krystal and I just hung out around the room until time for the play and then we all headed to the Globe to MacBeth. It was so so weird at first! :) We walked into the theater and we had to get under these huge black sheets with holes in it for our heads. We looked like really weird puppets without bodies. I had a really hard time at first but then I laughed so so hard and really liked it. We took so many pictures because we looked so funny! The play was really cool. I didn't enjoy all of the blood that was everywhere, including my face! The best thing about the play was the CUTE Scottish king. We giggled like Jr. High girls!
Thursday we didnt do a whole lot. Lion King was too expensive so we didn't end up going so me, Cass, Krystal, and Hans walked around Piccadilly circus looking for souvenirs for Cass and did not find very much at all. On our way home we went and got some Ben & Jerrys ice cream and I ate a whole pint by myself. It was so wonderful and delicous!
Friday was a great day. I finally finished with my marketing class. I took my final and it was so hard! I actually fell asleep during the test. How bad is that?! Later me, Cass, Krystal, and Kristen all went to the Tower of London. It was so amazing! So much history and beauty in the stones. The crown jewels are so amazing. I still can't believe that I got to see them! Me, Krystal, and Kristen came back and took a 3 hr nap. Later we got up and took Peter with us to Pancake House for second dinner! It was great. I got some weird flan looking "apple pie". It was kind of weird. After that Peter just hung out with us in our room and then we had to say goodbye to him because he left early Saturday morning. It is so sad to make friends with so many people and then have to say goodbye so soon.
Saturday me, Kristen, and Krystal went to Harrods, H&M, and some other stores shopping. We thought about buying a hamster from the pet store but we decided not to. Later that night we went to Princess Diana's favorite restaurant and had a really good time with our family. Cassie and I went to Piccadilly Circus and did some good souvenir shopping. I got some good stuff for my friends. Later we relaxed and watched Winning London and went to bed.
Today was one of the funnest days so far. Me, cass, Krystal, and Kristen all went to Oxford and had a great time laughing and shopping and taking pictures. We stayed for a really long time and then got delayed at the train station becasue someone had been hit by the train and was killed.
Tonight we went to the Texas Embassy and had a great dinner! Cassey is going home in the moring and we are going to miss her so so so much!

Deep Sea Fishing
Courtney, Keely, and Julia being very very silly.
Look I am holding up the world!!
Me, Courtney, and Keely!
So today we went to the NAtural History Museum to the Deep Sea Exhibit. It was ok, personally I was bored, but apparently everyone else liked it. :) There were such weird animals there and it was really dark and it hurt my eyes the whole time. After that we headed over to get Lion King tickets, but they were sold out, so we are going to have to wait until Thursday to go see. I can't wait!!! I am so so so so excited. Tonight we have just hung around the room watching some tv shows on the internet and listening to music and just being really silly! I am already ready for bed and am going to watch me a NCIS: Los Angelos episode! Night!
A relaxing day...
Yesterday was a chill day spent by working on my paper that was due today. It only took me a couple of hours so it wasn't too bad. It's crazy to think that I actually have to do school while I'm here right?! Well after some work I went to whole foods with Becky Jo, Lindsay, Julia, and Courtney and got a pretty good pizza. After that we went to H&M again, which I am totally and unhealthfully addicted to. I got a few things and then went to Rymans for aanother converter cuz I lost my first one. The rest of the after noon was spent relaxing in the room, working on my paper, and talking to Kristen and Courtney. Later that night we watched Finding Nemo and I go to hang out with Keeley, Julia, and courtney some more. We had so much fun and laughed so so hard! Im still waiting to hear exactly what we are doing today but I can't wait to go exploring. I am getting a little tired of my room!:)
